Our Story
After two decades in the fragrance industry and a successful career in Los Angeles—most recently developing fragrances for Jenni Kayne and the Oak Essentials brand—Heather Bath has returned to her roots in Kansas City with an aromatic mission: to bring world-class, niche fragrance to the Midwest.
With deep roots in the Sonoma County wine movement, Heather’s lineage reads like a sensory guidebook. Her grandfather, George Bath, was a rancher and fixture in the Sonoma County agricultureal community. Her father, Cliff Bath, founded the revered Starker’s Reserve on the Country Club Plaza, and was a pioneer in introducing Northern California wines to the region.
“My path began in the vineyards, but my passion shifted to fragrance,” said Heather. Her journey has included collaborations with leading fragrance houses and luxury fashion brands, always blending storytelling, memory, and emotion into scent.
After a small preview in her studio last fall, Heather is partnering with George Terbovich to bring her concept to retail. The result is H. Bath Perfumer, now open inside GEORGE Lifestyle at the Crestwood Shops.
When clients visit, Heather offers a scent styling session (TM). “I want them to find something that resonates—something that stretches them just enough to feel new, yet slightly familiar."
